never mind how my fellow Yankees weren't enlisting and dying to end slavery rather than standing for the Union itself, ending slavery was a peripheral issue to most who wore blue

he did shine that day no doubt but hopefully you guys looked at his subords too as the 20th Maine had a day where the unit worked flawlessly--that is a sign of a team

It was a great part of a great movie. Shot in 72 MM .. just a fantastically done bit of cinema.
